WORDS TO KNOW

We affirm that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God.

Inspired: The human authors of the Bible were led or influenced by God with the 

result that their writings are designated the Word of God. The Holy Spirit so directed

the human writers that the finished product was precisely what He intended.

Infallible: Incapable of teaching error; the perfection of Scripture

Inerrant: Without error or fault in all its teachings. Scripture in the original 

manuscripts does not affirm anything that is contrary to fact.

Sufficient: The Bible is sufficient, it is all we need, to know the way of salvation &

the way of obedience. We do not need any more special revelation. 

Perspicuity: The Bible is clear in its teachings and can be understood. It is capable 

of being understood rightly.
